Welcome

The Berliner Zentrum für Mechatronische Medizintechnik (BZMM) is a joint institute by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the R&D centre for new treatment technology in Berlin.

In 2000 the President of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and the Chairman of the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin founded the Fraunhofer-Charité-Cooperation, which has become one of the international renown research and interventional centers for image guided therapy. BZMM is advancing the future of healt care and acts as the R&D centre for new treatment technology to their clinical and industrial partners, focussing on two core missions:

  • developing new technology to make current surgical procedures more secure and/or more effecient.
  • developing new technology to open up new interventional options, for patient groups currently excluded from treatment.

As a research institute we try to give as much information to our community and society as we can. On these web pages you will find publications, research results, imaging data and software components you might want to use in your environment. If you do have further questions, like to learn more about our research or want to collaborate, please don't hesitate to contact us. We are very happy to serve your needs in developing new treatment technology for image guided interventional therapy.
