The Berliner Zentrum für Mechatronische Medizintechnik (BZMM) is a joint Excellence Center by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and Charité Berlin and the R&D centre for new treatment technology.

BZMM is advancing the future of healt care and acts as the R&D centre for new treatment technology to their clinical and industrial partners, focussing on two core missions:

Developing new technology to make current surgical procedures more secure and effecient, and developing new technology to open up new interventional options, for patient groups currently excluded from treatment.

The Fraunhofer-Charité-Cooperation has become one of the international renown research centers for image-guided and minimal-invasive therapy. As a research institute we give as much information to our community and society as we can.
