The Berliner Zentrum für Mechatronische Medizintechnik (BZMM) is a joint institute by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin and the R&D centre for new treatment technology in Berlin.
In 2000 the President of the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft and the Chairman of the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin founded the Fraunhofer-Charité-Cooperation, which has become one of the international renown research and interventional centers for image guided therapy. BZMM is advancing the future of healt care and acts as the R&D centre for new treatment technology to their clinical and industrial partners, focussing on two core missions:
